Last year I tried my hand at making t-shirt yarn. You know the one where you cut old t-shirts into strips and pull these into thick "yarn"? I cut 4 t-shirts and an old tricot shirt of mine and worked these into yarn. They "marinated" in my stash for a while, until a few weeks back I decided to see if I could crochet little baskets of them.
As you know, I love goals, plans and lists. I posted my 101 in 1001 volume 2 list in January, and this here is going to be my list of Knitting Goals for 2012.
A friend of mine asked me to make her a pair of socks. She told me the size and her wishes, and added "they can be just as bright and multicoloured as you'd like".
And I sure want to! After a major loss of my knitting mojo lately it has luckily returned just in time for my birthday, which happens to be today!
So what better way to celebrate than with a Knit Night with the ladies! Let's face it: I don't have family where I live, and my best friends are the dames from my knitting circle - so I'll celebrate with them. In fact, I am planning on casting on a cowl.

I took part in another swap this month, the European swap on Ravelry. The moderator kind of forgot the swap, so it was organized by another member of the group. I thought that it could end bad - but it didn't. It ended great! My swap partner Fairytalefelter aka Dawn has received her package and here's what she sent me.
