Can you spot the graffiti in the first picture?
My husband is currently showing some of his artwork in a business premises which is currently unleased. The owner asked my hubby to create a piece of art to drew attention to the premises - he did, and also he organized an exhibition with some other artists as well.
The year 2012 was truly a year of charity knits for me - I don't know how much I actually knit but it was loads. Dozens of squares for Knit a Square, socks, cowls and mitts for the animal shelter and other things, too.
Here are my last charity knits for 2012: a bunch of squares, a kid's hat and two toddler vests. The vests are similar to the Mrs. Applebomb vest, just with a different gauge and without the cable (I admit, I was just lazy!)
Did you remember I set myself knitting goals in January 2012? Well, me neither..! I have to admit, I completely forgot all about these sometime during the first half year of 2012. But nonetheless I did make some progress though, just look:

Happy New Year 2013! How has the new year started for you?
I have in fact finished a pair of socks (post is coming) and started a new shawl, so I am hoping the knitting mojo is finally getting back, even a bit. But as I was looking through my posts from 2012, I noticed that I have indeed been knitting this year and finished a few pretty things!
Lots has happened in 2012 with the blog and in my life:
Now this is an interesting knit which started as something else than it finally ended up being! It's another one of my older knits I never got round to blogging about before.

Specs:
Yarn: German no-name sock yarn, I've forgotten the exact name
Pattern: Uzume by Monkey Toes.
Needles: 5 2,5 mm dpns, my usual set for socks
Modifications: none that I remmeber. I might have made the cuff a bit longer.
Size: about 38 European size.
Yesterday I met a friend of mine in Bochum to check out the Handmade fair / exhibition which was not held for the first time in Bochum, a neighboring city to my current home town. These Handmade fairs seem to be some kind of francise, at least they take place in several German cities yearly.
I was feeling sorry for myself being so caught up in everything else other than blogging something new, and started looking through old blog posts of mine. And I noticed there were some I hadn't published yet! Yay! I can have knitting content while I still procrastinate taking pictures of my newest knits!
Ok, I'm aware that's not necessarily a good thing, but what the hey, look at this cute baby vest I knit a while ago!
Oh my, where do the weeks fly? Our place is still full of boxes, but there's also a sofa now and since yesterday I even have a desk. Slowly, oh so slowly it's starting to resemble a home! I still haven't found the batteries for my camera, so instead of my recent knits I'll discuss the newest Knitty!

The yarn was a Noro Kureyon sock yarn, a yarn I adore but usually am too cheap to buy :) What wonderful colours!
There was also a handmade bag with fluffy yarn and zipper closing - this is definitely a keeper! Angie had also made me a Christmas snowflake decoration which I really, really like.
