Versatility start

After a long break I've started a project that isn't

a) charity

b) small or

c) for someone for Christmas

This is the Versatility multifunction-knitted-item from Knitty.

I'm using a yarn from my stash, Marika Moon merino and modal (does anyone know what that is?), size 6mm Knitpicks needles, and I'm making the pattern as advised, just leaving out the bobbles. It's actually far further now as in the pic, it's really addictive and I knit it every day! Hope to have it done by Christmas!
