A while back I bought a ball of Sirdar Just Bamboo in brilliant white just to try it out. It ended up sitting in my stash for a good while before I finally decided to make something with it. One ball of ribbon bamboo is not the easiest thing to think of a project for!
I finally came up with these little sachets or tiny pouches which would be perfect for stitch markers or other little notions. Here's the very simple pattern for you. I call it the Anemone Nemorosa because the sachets remind me of this beautiful, wild spring flower.
I finally did it! This is my first pattern I offer for sale. It's called the Kuebel hat, and I love it!
I originally made this hat for my husband, who is the prime example of people who cannot wear a woolen hat longer than 10 minutes before it starts to itch them. He also gets cold easily, so if I were to make him a hat, it would need to be warm. So I had this idea of a two-layer hat, where the inside would be soft and non-itchy and the outside really warm and covering the ears. I'm really bad at double knitting, so I decided to knit two hats separately. But I also hate seaming, so I knit the hats one at a time, but using the same cast-on edge. Behold the Kuebel hat was born!
The pattern features seven different colourwork charts to choose from.
Another free knitting pattern from Worsted Knitt! I'm getting the hang of this :)
This sock pattern is perfect for self-striping and self-patterning yarn. It can be so boring knitting plain stockinette socks with these yarns, but any complex pattern will not show in the striped yarn, or it will just look bad and messy. This simple moss stitch rib doesn't disturb the colours, but makes the sock more interesting to work on and to look at.
A word of warning: the pattern is not symmetrical. If you love your order and symmetrical ribbings, you possibly won't like this pattern. It doesn't really show that much, but better to give you a heads-up to avoid disappointment.
I was making more fingerless mittens for sale for my local animal shelter autumn market and came up with this little pattern. Hope you like it!
I'm calling them Lacey Bubblegum Punk Mitts, as the bubblegum punk style is "girly as well as black". The mittens also remind me of the punky 80's style, so there we have it. You could make these mittens in hot pink as well!
I offer this pattern for free for personal use - you may not sell this pattern or the mittens you knit using it (please ask me about charity). Please consider my stitch markers or Worsted Knitt's Shirts and Bags when planning on getting some knitting gear!
