New York

Downtown Manhattan from the Empire State Buidling
egan Chocolate Brownie at Champs Diner, Brooklyn

This March I made my first-ever trip to the USA. more specifically New York. 10 days there were well spent with friends, walking the city (we only missed Queens and Long Island), looking at the beaufiful Hudson river as well as the views from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. Here are some impressions for you, too!

A quick hi and a hat

Lila hat

Oh my, I've had a long pause in blogging! There are two reasons for that mainly

1. I've been really really busy and
2. I haven't been knitting

You may not know it, but I play the theatre (not professionally but on a very high amateur level), and we had our opening night on the 17th of January. Before that, you can imagine, we had practice every other evening and after that I have been playing once or twice a weekend. I's been quite a lot to handle, and I am really happy to have a two week pause in playing now.

Merry Christmas!

So, this Christmas is not the best so far - it's warm and the fields are green, and me and hubby are both ill... but it's Christmas anyway, so it can't be all bad!

I wish all my readers a lovely Christmas and a happy New Years - I hope 2014 brings us all health, wealth and happiness.

Just another pair of socks for charity

I'm still here, knitting and posting in slow motion it seems.

It's been a busy fall until now and it's about to get even busier. I'm -among other things- taking a sewing course at the moment! So perhaps there'll be some sewing content up soon. Also my Mum was visiting me a few weeks back and we had a blast. I'll try to get a few pics up on what we did (and the gorgeous socks she knit in one week!)
